Over four hundred volunteers provide essential help to Mount Saint Vincent each year. Their contributions to the well-being of the children are immeasurable.


VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

  • Archivists - Help with organizing and storing photos and materials representing the 125 year history of Mount Saint Vincent and establishing guidelines and procedures for capturing future history. Individual and buddy tasks.
  • Bike Guys and Gals - Assist volunteer team leader with repairs and maintenance of 44 bicycles for children in residence.
  • Computer Helpers - Assist with weekly and/or one-time computer tasks including typing, data entry, and coding.
  • Groundskeepers - Assist volunteer team leader with assignments throughout the grounds that could include anything such as lawn mowing, edging rose garden, weeding, field work, pruning. Could be task specific or a regular what needs to be done assignment. Could be any time Monday through Friday 8 - 4, or Saturday mornings 8:30 - 1pm.
  • Handy Folks - Assist volunteer team leader with small repairs, painting, carpentry throughout the campus buildings. Could be any time Monday through Friday 8 - 4, or Saturday mornings 8:30 - 1pm.
  • Inventory Aides - Help maintain storage systems and inventories of supplies and in-kind donations.
  • Mailers - Fold, stuff, label and stamp mailings 6 times a year or more often.
  • Office Helpers - Various office tasks including assisting with filing, checking for completeness, grant material preparation, year end and 1st of the year storage and set-up.


VOLUNTEER REQUISITES

Mount Saint Vincent cannot accommodate volunteers under age eighteen. Parents, performing volunteer tasks, may not bring their children with them to Mount Saint Vincent.

CORPORATE AND ORGANIZATION GROUPS
  • Corporate Employee Work Days - Employee groups wishing to volunteer for one-time weekday or weekend day projects should contact Sherry Crawford at 303-458-7220 ext 228 or email scrawford@msvhome.org. Employee companies donate financially and in-kind.

  • Children’s Parties and Events - Assistance from groups for children’s seasonal parties is greatly appreciated. Groups may supply food and entertainment for the children and join them for the event. Due to HIPAA regulations, no photography is allowed including phone/video transmission.   • Corporate and Organization Activities with the Children in Mount Saint Vincent School - Activities with the children at Mount Saint Vincent during school hours are coordinated by the School Administrator, Lori McClurg. GUILD OF MOUNT SAINT VINCENT

The purpose of the Guild is to support and financially assist programs for the children through fundraising efforts and dues. Over two hundred fifty men and women plan and implement the Silver Bell Ball and donor luncheons to benefit Mount Saint Vincent.
